Dev Post:
After a challenging period, update 3.34 is ready to roll out. This update includes several fixes and improvements to the in-game guild management systems, which will be covered in detail. In addition, several server improvements have been made, such as improvements to all NPC pathfinding, a complete server OS migration to Windows Server 2025, and the resolution of various community issues that took some time to address**
The plan is to release the guild patch for final live testing, and then shift all development focus to the Christmas patch that should release around 14 December.
There been several important changes in the guild system so lets go into the details:
|
|
|
Offline Management
One of the most significant changes that led to a complete overhaul of the system was the implementation of offline management for members. This new system utilizes memory caching for the database, allowing seamless syncing between disk storage and in-game memory. As a result, guilds can now manage members effectively, even when they are offline.
Completely new UI
The user interface has been completely revamped to be more intuitive and user-friendly. It's now easier to browse through your own guild or other guilds, and to make modifications to member details, ranks, logos, descriptions, and the guild bank.
Guild Logo
Guilds now have the ability to showcase their unique identity with a customizable logo. The logo will be displayed in the new guild NPC UI as well as on players' guild cards in the paperdoll (*viewable by clicking on the guild name). Currently, the combinations of logo designs already run into the thousands, offering a wide variety of choices for guilds to express their individuality. And with future updates, even more customization options will be available, further expanding the possibilities for guilds to stand out.
|
New Rankings
The new ranking system introduces two additional ranks: Founder and Commander. The Founder (Rank 0) and Leaders (Rank 1) retain full control over the guild's functions, while Commanders (Rank 2) are given administrative power with the ability to manage ranks and certain permissions. Recruiters (Rank 3), on the other hand, have a more limited role, focusing solely on recruitment duties. This new structure offers guilds a more secure and flexible way to manage leadership roles and responsibilities.
Last Seen
A new feature has been added to allow guild leaders and officers to view the "last seen" date for all members. This gives guilds valuable insight into who is actively participating and who may not have logged in recently, making it easier to assess the activity levels within the guild and manage member engagement.
Prepared for Future
The system has been fully prepared to support future updates, including guild levels and perks. While the guild level is already visible within the interface, the implementation of guild-specific perks is still to come. This ensures that the system is ready for more features in the future, allowing guilds to progress and unlock new benefits as they grow.

About: Improved npc pathfinding
|
'' More clever npcs ''
New npc logic has been implemented to enhance their ability to solve more complex pathfinding challenges. The traditional homing code has been merged with a newly developed simulated path and a* pathfinding logic to address issues where npcs could get stuck behind obstacles.
The previous (classic) EO npc code relied solely on direct homing, where npcs would navigate directly to their target with limited smoothing, solving most basic situations. While functional, this approach could still result in npcs getting trapped or tricked behind objects.
The updated system introduces new calculations, allowing npcs to determine the most efficient route to their target, making their behavior more believable.

'' Convenient Way to Return to Your Spawn Point ''
Recalls scrolls provide a straightforward way to return to your registered spawn point, offering players an alternative to dying. Instead of waiting for respawn or manually navigating back to your spawn point after death, you can now use a Recall Scroll to instantly return to your last registered spawn location. This functionality is intended to improve the pacing of your gameplay and minimize the frustration associated with long travel times following defeat.
Recall Scrolls are a useful tool that can be obtained through various in-game means. As you progress, you'll find them to be an efficient solution when exploring new areas or dealing with challenging encounters. Please note that Recall Scrolls are consumable items, meaning each scroll can only be used once. Plan accordingly to make the best use of them during your adventures.

'' Happy Holidays ''
As the year comes to a close, it's a good time to look ahead to the upcoming patch and holiday events in Endless Online.
With December and Christmas approaching, plans are in place for a special Christmas event to celebrate the end of the year. The event will bring back classic Christmas activities like Santa SOS and Swaggy Nick, along with the old Aeven snow map. This time, there will be a new GOLDEN tree, along with fresh activities and rewards.
Behind the scenes, work is underway on a "mega penguin" that will appear in Aeven. This penguin will have unique behaviors, such as shaking the ground with its stomps and acting frenzied to create a chaotic scene.
Finally, look out for fireworks and coupons in the last week of the year.
